to schedule a time when you can drop off your gift bag or White Gift envelope.

Thank you again for your continued support of the teens involved with our local Family Connexions. These gifts will stay in the Collingwood area.

There are 3 ways to give:

Christmas Gift Bag:  Use any decorative bag you have at home to hold your gifts.  Please do not tape your bag shut or wrap items as they need to be reviewed by SMFC staff.

If your bag is for a teenager, you can include any of the following:

  • Movie passes, gift certificates for local retailers, Subway and other restaurant coupons.
  • Personal beauty aids such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions (Unscented)
  • Toothbrushes and paste, hair brushes, hair elastics
  • Warm mitts, gloves, hats, headbands, scarves, socks, pajamas
  • School supplies (post it notes, highlighters, pens and paper)

If your bag is for an infant, you can include any of the following:

  • Blankets, clothes, snow suits, bibs, hats, mitts, wash cloths and towels
  • Small board books, developmental toys (infant links, stacking cups, shape sorters, activity centres, quality rattles, teething rings, bath toys, musical plastic toys)

White gift envelopes: (all donations will go to SMFC to purchase appropriate gifts and other useful items for families under their care):  Use an ordinary envelope but include your name and address on the envelope or make sure this information is on your cheque.  Address your cheque to “Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions”.

Place your envelope on the White Gift tree on Dec 1 and Dec 8th/24.

The mitten, hat, scarf rack:   Kids always need new warm mittens, scarves and hats. Please, new items only, and note that if you would like a tax receipt for purchased mittens, scarves and hats, put them to your gift bag instead of adding them to the mitten tree.  Items placed on the racks are pure donations, with no tax receipt available.

Income Tax Receipts will be mailed to you if you:

  • Fill out the Tax Receipt Request Form made out to the person receiving the tax receipt (see reverse side of this sheet)
  • Staple receipts to this form and include in your gift bag or envelope

Thank you for your gifts to a special young person in Collingwood!  If you have any questions, please contact a member of this committee through the church office.
